I am using toner transfer for masking purposes for an art project prior to oxidizing metal and tried your 30 second wait idea and I after i applied pressure, I used my childrens toy roller pin to roll the image and I got perfect results. I have a lot of fine details in my designs and they came out great. Thanks for some tips!

I used acetone/water and glossy magazine paper on a highly polished piece of brass.Tommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03014540709901656371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702184209705146469.post-76849623456503994042016-05-22T15:46:58.332-04:002016-05-22T15:46:58.332-04:00I plaid with this method whole today and have the ...I plaid with this method whole today and have the same problem. Toners does not stick strong to the board. Of course, i can put it into the over for several minutes, but that means i have to heat up the oven and waste time and electricity. This is not way. If it is need then i will stick to photoresist.
So, i and xerox 5010 led printer with nobrand generic toner. The toner transfer very will to pcb, but when i try to clean up the paper picks up from the pcb. I tried to use NaOH to dissolove the paper but somehow the whole layer just float from pcb. Crazy.
PCB is prepared by gritting with 1000 grit sand paper and cleaning with 10% ammonia. Tried just spirit, all the same.
Artem Kuchinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16296407354247510738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702184209705146469.post-44263003280615851032016-02-29T18:57:53.794-05:002016-02-29T18:57:53.794-05:00It's about 5 to 1. Take a Q-tip with the mixture and run across the lines if it smears add a little bit of alcohol. You want it to soften the toner not smear instantly.DuWaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11286645084920270476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702184209705146469.post-30510209924475573302016-02-29T18:20:16.767-05:002016-02-29T18:20:16.767-05:00Did you stay with the mixture of 5 parts alcohol &...Did you stay with the mixture of 5 parts alcohol & 1 part xylene?James Stoffelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17192711732181861544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702184209705146469.post-90753199863183724292016-01-18T10:29:35.009-05:002016-01-18T10:29:35.009-05:00Great idea.
